Exposure to the sun during pregnancy: advice and risks

Sunbathing during pregnancy is possible, but you should take some precautions.

Beach, swimming pool, fine sand... Pregnant, even doing absolutely nothing is allowed! You have a vitamin D deficiency and it is important to let the sun's rays caress you. But respect a few rules to avoid the pregnancy mask and the linea nigra on your belly, due to the increase of hormonal secretions.

  • Be careful not to expose yourself between noon and 4 pm and wear a hat and a pareo.
  • Apply sunscreen protection 50 on your body every two hours.
  • Drink often to avoid dehydration

Don't worry, the baby is cool in the amniotic fluid and UV rays are not dangerous for him.

I have to keep my blood pressure down since I was diagnosed with preeclampsia when I had my sun. I’m currently pregnant with my rainbow 🌈 and I’m just trying my best to keep my head up high.
