Parental leave for twins

If you are expecting twins, find out what the law says about parental leave for multiple births.

  • If you give birth to two babies, you are entitled to take up to 12 months of parental leave to care for them.

  • The father can also apply to his employer, as well as the adoptive parents if the children are under 16 years old.

  • This period can be renewed twice until the children enter kindergarten.
  • If you wish to benefit from the "PréParE" financial aid, ask your Caisse d'Allocations Familiales about the conditions of eligibility.

I love my bump!! 22 weeks!! 🩷🩷 Their getting so much more active and I’m loving it!! Also, when is a good time to do maternity pictures? Im due June 16 with twins and I know having twins you don’t go the full 40. When is a good time to start maternity leave too?

You can go full term if you want and babies are fine! My cousin went 40 weeks & 4 with her twins! Listen to your body and doctor/midwife to suggest a good time for it.

Take your photos in May first weekend or second weekend you’ll have a bigger bump then. Start your leave two weeks before you are due if your job allows and will pay you

For your man's parental leave do you give it to your Dr or do you have to wait until after the baby is born in order for those nurses to sign it?

You give it to your doc n send the hospital papers saying you gave birth . For most leave companies that’s what they want but who knows
