Parental leave for the first child

You have just welcomed your first child and you want to devote more time to him/her. What does parental leave provide in this case?

  • Parental leave is a right that can be granted to any parent, regardless of gender.

  • It can be requested at any time between the birth and the third birthday of the first baby.

  • In the case of a first adoption, this period extends to the child's 20th year.
  • Since 2015, you have the right to stop working for up to 6 months, after which the father can take over with an additional 6 months.

Any mamas still working 😭 I'm entering my last month of work. Put my official leave in for September 1st. I don't know how I'll be at home I worked this whole pregnancy so far and felt good about it. Not due till November but with the high risk it's time to shut it down.

Yesterday being may 1st counts 30 days left till my 25th birthday and the last day before maternity leave 🤍 I’ve worked soooo hard these past 35 weeks ready to rest at 39, until she gets here a week later 🫶🏻 unless she comes earlier lol..

Having my baby boy on May 1st at 38 weeks 💙. I’m about to officially start my maternity leave either next week or the week after. I’m beyond ready to just rest and wait for my son’s arrival.

You go girl, I’m surprised you hung in all the way for maternity leave. Girl I was thinking of pulling that card at about 34 weeks lol. I can’t wait to sit my ass down and not work for them 6-8 weeks.

I really waited this long because I want as much time possible when he’s physically here. I was going to wait longer but with me being induced and having him early , I want a few days to rest before he comes.

I'm so tired of this man complaining about him "doing everything" ( such as cleaning, cooking and taking care of the dog) while I'm tending 2 our son. He thinks what he's doing is in comparison 2 raising a child, I hate hearing the complaints! I was doing all the shit that he's doing now WHILE PREGNANT....shid I been doing what hes complaining about OUR WHOLE RELATIONSHIP! He took 12 weeks of parental leave TO HELP OUT, but He's so combative nd I'm getting sick of expressing to him how difficult it is to do what I'm doing.

Girl just switch places girl let him take care of baby and you take care House and so we can see how it is; men don’t understand a woman’s job and devalue us, and is very unappreciative. But just simply say hey, you can send to the baby today. I’ll do the house chores and see how he handles that I bet she won’t have nothing to say next time.

I tried that, he said it was easy, and became patient with the baby so I had to cut it short💯
