Can I continue to play sports during my pregnancy?

Continuing to practice sports during your pregnancy can limit back pain, insomnia, weight gain, and anxiety.

If you are a sportswoman and you don't want to stop exercising for nine months, sport is not incompatible with pregnancy, on the contrary! But you should practice it in a reasonable way, adapting it to the changes in your body and to your weight gain.

  • Reduce exercise time to 30 minutes three times a week.
  • You keep fatigue at bay while keeping the benefits of sport: improving your breathing and blood circulation and limiting your anxiety.
  • Your obstetrician or midwife should not discourage you from continuing to practice a sport.
