Tension and pain in the lower abdomen during pregnancy
During your pregnancy, some tension in the abdomen will appear. Don't worry, most of the time there is nothing to worry about.
- As the baby grows, the uterine ligaments expand, causing tension from the lower abdomen to the lumbar region.
- Constipation, which is common during pregnancy, also causes pain, and so does urinary tract infection.
- If you have pain and are bleeding, call your obstetrician or midwife. It could be an ovarian cyst.
In any case, to be reassured, do not hesitate to consult a proffessional!
