Induced labor

Sometimes childbirth must be induced for medical reasons or for convenience. We explain what this is!

  • A birth is induced because the baby is too big to be delivered vaginally or if there are health risks for you or your baby.
  • The doctor can also approve induced labor for convenience if your partner has to go abroad or if you are too tired.
  • To induce labor, the obstetrician applies a gel with prostaglandin to the vagina to stimulate the uterine muscle.
  • The membranes are then stripped and the water bag is manually broken.

I think the new system hospital are doing now especially nyp new York Presbyterian is “induced labor” I personally things it’s unfair because they not even giving our body as woman a natural time/change to try labor on our own and it’s all about making money via our insurance. More than 24hours they wanna do C-section . Lady think this thur do not let ur Dr pressure u into doing something because of they opinion half off these labor n delivery Dr are still learning n in school u can say yes or no ur right . #brooklynNy #newyorkpresbyteriantheworsthospital #induced-labor

Who induced labor? I'm 37 weeks about to 38 on july31,2022 But I told my doctor that I have intense itching at night my hand and my feet , everywhere , one day I had a doc appointment and they test me for it 2 things I can't recall those 2 things at this point. But I know it acid from my bile that can harm the baby so they say I have to get induced my next appointment is August 2,2022 at 10:45am hopefully it news from the blood work / lab, so wish me luck🤞 🤞 🤞 , and I will keep you moms posted

I ate pineapple to induced labor with my second child. But, unfortunately didn't work. However, I just try today since I turned 36 yesterday and I can swear this thing seems like it will work. I am feeling a very strong lower back pain. I will stop eating this pineapple and wait for my 37 weeks and couple days.

So I am being induced Tuesday night. My OB said I wouldn’t be put on pitocin. She said she was having me take a pill that softens my cervix and induced labor in a more natural way. Has anyone done this method? I wanted to avoid being induced altogether but God had different plans 🙏🏽
