What is the pain associated with a C-section?

If you need to have a C-section during your delivery, you should know that it will take some time to recover from this common, but not trivial, operation.

  • Whether scheduled or performed as an emergency, a C-section can be painful to recover from, so it's best to plan ahead and be prepared for the recovery phase.
  • The pain associated with a C-section is often intense right after delivery, but it gradually diminishes over the following days and disappears completely after a few weeks.
  • Your doctor will prescribe painkillers, so don't hesitate to inform them regularly of your condition.

Woke up with pain in my c section scar and hand. My lizard is acting out keeping the baby up. My neighbor won't stop stomping. I woke up over touched and I just found out there is a mouse nest in the hall closet. Dear God. Please give me strength today.
