Sooner or later, your period will come back after your baby is born. When should you expect it?
- About ten days after giving birth, a "bit" of period occurs. This short bleeding lasts about two days.
- This should not be confused with the "real" menstruation, which takes six to eight weeks to come back.
- If you're breastfeeding, it's a little different: your ovulation is delayed by prolactin, a hormone produced during the feeding, so your cycle will resume its normal course afterward.

So I’m 2 weeks pp when do you normally see your cycle come back? I’m exclusively breastfeeding and pumping. What are the signs of your cycle getting ready to return?

So how long after giving birth did you get your actual period??? I’m breastfeeding and had a c-section and my cycle has yet to return 😒

Up to 18 months 🥴 I guess that would be a good thing for me. I do want another baby but not until after my daughter’s first birthday, Lord willing 🤞🏾

I need some help please. So I had my miscarriage starting March 16th. My hope was to get pregnant right away but I don’t think it happened. How long after you had a miscarriage does your period return? Also how long after does HCG return to normal so you don’t get a positive still even if you’re not pregnant again? I don’t think it happened but I pray it did I just don’t wanna test and get a false positive cause of my HCG being high from before my miscarriage.

My doctor did say I could try right away after my check up to make sure my bleeding was okay a week after. I just don’t know how long for my HCG to return back to 0 because I know if it doesn’t you’ll get a false positive.

I'm 9 weeks almost 10. I am experiencing light bleeding and cramping. Feels like I'm on my period. Went to the er. Baby's heart beat is strong. Bleeding stopped. But will return mainly in the mornings. Yesterday I felt great. Today back to cramping and bleeding. Any info at this point would be great.

I got mine at 3 months pp. my sister got hers at 5. I know some breastfeeding moms that didn’t have it for a year or so while breastfeeding

So i had my first doctors appointment yesterday and my doctor said I’m measuring 8weeks 5 days but my last period was 9weeks ago. What does that mean is there something wrong ? She wants me to return in 2 weeks🥹 #Nervous

I personally ovulate 3 weeks after a period, which is a week later then when people generally ovulate. Therefore, I measured a week behind what they thought. It all depends on when you ovulated. Don't stress ❤️
