Tired of Being Pregnant? You're Not Alone!

Tired of Being Pregnant? You're Not Alone!
Yes, it's perfectly normal to think, "I hate being pregnant."
Many women get tired of pregnancy during the third trimester (and some do even earlier).
What's exciting and new during those first few weeks and months of pregnancy can become pretty tedious by month seven or eight.
Your growing belly and uncomfortable symptoms like heartburn and frequent trips to the bathroom can wear on you after a while.
Tips for Dealing with Feeling Tired of Being Pregnant
  • Steer conversations away from your pregnancy. Sometimes, endless questions and comments about your pregnancy from others can leave you longing for your former body and identity. Try steering the conversation back to non-pregnancy topics to give yourself a break.
  • Give yourself permission to vent when you feel the need. Find a sympathetic ear in other moms-to-be, and commiserate and trade advice with them in online communities or support groups.
  • Savor this time before your baby arrives. Use this time to plan for your newborn's arrival, set up the nursery, take a childbirth class, or learn lullabies. Enjoy your last few weeks of pre-baby freedom, as time to yourself will become precious after the baby's birth.
  • Be honest about your feelings. If you're tired of being pregnant and it hasn't been the greatest experience for you, don't be afraid to admit it. Talk to a therapist or counselor if you can't vent to your loved ones, as they can provide a nonjudgmental listening ear and offer advice to make the rest of your pregnancy more bearable.
Fun Things to Do When You're Pregnant and Bored
  • Make lunch or phone dates with friends to maintain social connections during pregnancy and after your baby is born.
  • Learn something new by reading books you wouldn't typically pick up, or try out baby-friendly recipes for future use.
  • Streamline your space by organizing your home, cleaning out clutter, and setting up shortcuts to save time and reduce stress.
  • Treat yourself to a massage or a pampering session like a blowout or pedicure to relieve pregnancy discomforts and unwind.
  • Try a new exercise routine like prenatal yoga, walking, swimming, or any physical activity approved by your doctor to boost energy and relieve discomfort.
  • Connect with your partner and enjoy romantic dinners or cozy moments together, focusing on each other before the baby arrives.
When Should You Be Worried About Pregnancy Depression?
If your pregnancy boredom starts to feel more like persistent blues or anxiety, affecting your ability to function, talk to your healthcare provider.
Chronic boredom and listlessness could be a symptom of depression, which is common in pregnancy.
Other depression symptoms include trouble concentrating, changes in eating and sleeping patterns, feelings of worthlessness or guilt, and unexplained aches and pains.
Untreated depression can impact your ability to care for yourself and your baby's growth.
Seeking treatment, such as therapy or antidepressant medication, can help you and your baby stay healthy. Remember, you're not alone, and seeking support and care is essential for a joyful pregnancy journey. 💕

Any advice on friends making you feel guilty for wanting to be alone, or not being as available as you were before being pregnant. My pregnancy has been awful and i feel like I’ve just kinda wanted to be at home or with my boyfriend because I’ve been so tired.. and my bestfriend is making me feel guilty about it. I know it’s unintentional but it’s just hard

Being pregnant really makes you feel all alone. Like I have so many people around a supportive boyfriend and family but yet I feel I’m in this all alone . It’s almost like a mental challenge

I feel you on this, with all the support and everything it’s warming but all I can think about is how lonely I am even with my boyfriend and family behind me on this. I’m hoping that will change later down my due date but you never know, just try and keep your head up

I agree! And it’s because no one truly understands how we feel unless is another pregnant woman. Like we are not even ourselves. Our body has been taken over by our little babies. From the sickness to Aches and pain we are doing this alone!! But it’s not forever. We got this And will get through this.

I’ve been feeling the same, all these mood swings and constantly worrying about the baby don’t help either. And some people just don’t understand, but just know that you’re not alone and if no one else can understand, me and a whole lot of other moms’ on here understand and are here for you. Also you should be your fiancé’s number one priority, I’m sorry you have to go through that.

I feel the same. I have no family who supports me or my pregnancy. My man bout to be locked up for a while and I’m doing all this alone. I hate it.
