Why You Should Trust Your Instincts as a Pregnant Mom

The Importance of Trusting Your Instincts as a Pregnant Mom
Pregnancy is an exciting journey filled with anticipation and joy, but it can also come with moments of uncertainty and doubt.
As an expectant mother, you may receive an abundance of advice and information from well-meaning family, friends, and healthcare providers.
While all of this guidance can be helpful, it's essential to remember the significance of trusting your instincts during this transformative time.
Here's why trusting your instincts as a pregnant mom is crucial:
Your Unique Connection with Your Baby
  • As the mother, you share a unique and intimate bond with your growing baby. Your instincts are a reflection of this connection, as your body and mind work together to nurture and protect your little one.
  • Trusting your instincts allows you to tune in to what feels right for you and your baby, guiding you in making decisions that align with your maternal intuition.
Personalizing Your Pregnancy Experience
  • Pregnancy is a profoundly personal experience, and each woman's journey is different. Trusting your instincts enables you to personalize your pregnancy experience, making choices that resonate with your values, beliefs, and desires for your baby's birth and beyond.
  • Embracing your instincts empowers you to listen to your body and emotions, helping you create a nurturing environment for yourself and your baby.
Enhancing Self-Confidence
  • Trusting your instincts during pregnancy boosts your self-confidence as a mom-to-be. It reminds you that you have the inherent wisdom and strength to navigate the challenges and joys of pregnancy and motherhood.
  • Embracing your instincts can help you overcome self-doubt and external pressures, fostering a positive mindset as you prepare to welcome your baby.
Advocating for Your Well-Being and Your Baby's Health
  • Your instincts serve as an internal compass, guiding you to advocate for your well-being and your baby's health. When something feels off or concerns arise, your instincts prompt you to seek support and guidance from healthcare providers or trusted professionals.
  • By trusting your instincts, you become an active participant in your prenatal care, fostering a proactive approach to pregnancy and birth.
Embracing Intuition in Decision-Making
  • Pregnancy involves a series of decisions, from choosing a birth plan to making postpartum choices. Trusting your instincts allows you to embrace your intuition in decision-making, helping you align with what feels right for you and your baby.
  • Intuition is a powerful tool that can provide clarity when faced with complex choices, leading you to make well-informed and heart-centered decisions.
Strengthening the Parent-Child Bond
  • Trusting your instincts as a pregnant mom fosters a strong parent-child bond from the very beginning. Your baby senses and responds to your emotions, creating an atmosphere of security and love.
  • As you trust your instincts, you create a nurturing and emotionally attuned environment that sets the foundation for a loving and secure parent-child relationship.

Having an insecure person drains tf outta you. Especially when you’re pregnant because all you’re trying to do is make sure your baby/babies are safe. If a person know they have major trust issues then they should have not be involved with nobody, let anyone bring more children in the world! 😞

Hi ladies…just curious if anyone else has been worried about the high maternal mortality rate in America? Even seeing the deaths during delivery recently has me concerned, especially for those of us who are African American…please remember to advocate for yourselves and your babies, trust your instincts and demand your concerns be taken seriously!

I've voiced a few concerns to my husband, and told him that when we reach the third trimester I would like to thoroughly discuss advocating at the hospital and what I do and don't want for me and the baby so we're both on the same page. As well as my doctor, thankfully I'm super lucky in that my OB is related to me and stands in the same place my husband and I do

I’ve definitely have been worried about it, which is one of the reasons I am choosing to have the baby at a birthing center over a hospital. I am already feeling if I give birth at a hospital I will have to continually fight for the birth experience I want, i’m definitely trusting my intuition

Exactly one week before my first appointment I experience a miscarriage 🥺 I went through this last year in May as well!! Last year I was devastated! I had never been through this before. I was just starting to get excited yet I was still very nervous and scared. And the worse was confirmed today. I just left the E.R. and I'm going through what is called a "threatened miscarriage". But I'll hang around on this app for a long as I can handle. Everyone here is super supportive and that's a beautiful thing. I don't know yall but I love yall and I hope you all have a wonderful love-filled full term pregnancy! Hang strong and keep being great! Trust your instincts, love your body through all the changes and I know you all will be great moms! I'm rooting for you! #MiscarriagesSuck

Maternal instincts come with being a mom. Everything you thought you didn’t know will flow naturally. Too many people on this app are “by the book.” Motherhood isn’t textbook. I swear, just do what feels right to YOU. What worked for her may not work for you and that’s ok.

It’s ok to be outside. For men it’s a protection thing. Like they don’t want anything to happen. Pregnancy is a life event not a disability. I remind my husband constantly. It can be a bit frustrating.

My baby has been in the hospital for 3 days now due to trouble with breathing and they still haven’t found the cause! His condition is life threatening and if I didn’t listen to my motherly instincts, my baby wouldn’t be here today. Always listen to yourself first!! I almost took someone else’s advice and didn’t make the right move. Trust yourself YOU know what’s best for your baby!!!!

Someone help me please. Does anyone have a baby that falls below the stupid growth chart, but your mom instincts tell you there is nothing wrong with him?

My son was below as a baby. He’s fine now. Don’t worry as long as your baby is eating and alert and you feel he’s healthy I wouldn’t stress too much! 🤗🤗

My first was C-section at 39 weeks. Did the hands program and he was always a week behind. Stressed me out. Now he's 9 years old and has high functioning autism. Not sure if there's a correlation. At 3 years he was barley talking. Now my new baby, 5 mos, is not rolling over. But he is well on his way. Can sit up in a restaurant high chair and help feed himself by grabbing the spoon and putting it in his mouth. All babies are different and we must have patience. If your baby is doing and growing fine, or just growing in general. I wouldn't worry mama❤️

Pray for Trust Lord, I come to you and pray for my friends here as they are struggling to have a baby. They feel lost, and alone. They are struggling to trust you in the midst of this pain that they are feeling. Let them remember the stories of the mothers of Israel. Hannah, Sarah, Rachel, Elizabeth. The women that came before that longed to be mothers, that waited, prayed, and almost gave up on the possibility. But God, you heard them, you answered. I pray that they will trust you. Trust your goodness no matter the outcome. Amen. Baby dust to y’all my ladies 🤰🏽👶🏽🙏🏽❤️🌈
