Reconciling breastfeeding and returning to work

Your maternity leave is coming to an end and you are wondering how to continue breastfeeding your baby while working?

  • While separation from your baby can be difficult, there are ways to continue breastfeeding once you return to work.
  • You can build up a supply of breast milk with a breast pump, so your baby can enjoy the benefits of your breast milk even when you're away.
  • You can also decide to space out your feedings by gradually introducing infant formula to diversify your child's diet.
  • Whatever you choose, the most important thing is that it suits you!

I wanted to update yesterday I had a scare and had to go to th?e ER for bleeding blood clots and cramps. I for sure thought it was a miscarriage. It turns out I have a Small Subchorionic% Hematoma (Hemorrhage). Baby is doing good heart beat is strong and it's bouncing around in there🥰🙏 God is good we have been truly blessed 🙌 I am not on bed rest but Dr's. orders no sex or strenuous activities such as exercise or working on my feet for long periods. I am supposed to return to work the 29th but I have a labor intense job I am on my feet 10+hours. Should I be cleared to return to work once hemorrhage dissolves?I am still waiting to hear back from Dr but worried I won't be able to work.

Breastfeeding Moms How did you return back to work? I got a little over a month before I return. However my daughter is clingy and demands the boob especially if she's tired. She's going on 2 months. And it breaks my heart that I may have to wean her off so early. #breastfeeding #workingMoms

Start pumping now and bottle feeding her . Give her the bottles when she’s really hungry so she won’t put up a fight and take it. I started my baby on bottles from birth because of this. Even though I have no trouble with him bottle feeding he still lets me know he wants my breast . Also i read letting others offer your baby a bottle as well and that may help because they know it’s not you .

Mommas, if you are working how did you feel about going back to work after you had your baby? My job will only let me take off 6 weeks than have to return to work and I am terrified of going to work that soon after birth and having someone else watch our baby 😫 Yes FMLA will protect my job but this “maternity leave” period is not enough for moms and dads.

Im driving myself crazy thinking about the return to work. Moms really should get a year of paid leave cause our babies can’t go to school n some moms can’t afford daycare. Even if they can who wanna bring an infant to daycare. This system is a big ass run around circle. Over it 😭😭😭 lord help me 🙏🏾

Ikr the system sucks. I basically have to choose to be poor to stay home with my babies rather than 2 incomes. I understand some don't have a choice at all ❤️🙏

Mine was super easy. I had a vaginal birth and returned to work 3 days after being released from the hospital. Had some light tenderness and discomfort from my coochie stitches but that was about the worst of it.

So yoday dr told me that im being taken iut of work at 30 weeks due to complications. What are some things i can do to make some extra money on the side until I return to work? I can do hair actually really good but building clientelle in Rochester is way to hard. People are kinda ruthless here 🤦🏾‍♀️
