Childbirth: facing the fear of contractions

You're probably one of the many moms-to-be who dreads contractions, so how do you deal with the pain?

  • From the 37th week of pregnancy, you may feel your belly harden. These are small, usually painless contractions that prepare the cervix for dilation.
  • After 9 months, your baby is ready to come out, and your body signals this by causing regular, intense, and painful contractions.
  • To cope with these, take a birth preparation class to learn about this natural process and techniques to relieve the pain.

Has anyone ever given birth with symphysis pubis dysfunction?.. I’m SO scared to deliver with this issue.. It’s caused/causing so much pain on the left side of my pubic bone right in my vagina and I’m so scared it’s gonna make delivery either hurt worse or delivery is going to damage my bones somehow.. 😅 I have anxiety so my fear is SPIRALING. Scheduled to be induced at 5AM.

Has anyone experienced a post partum hemmorage with their first delivery, but not second or third? I had a scary PPH with my first baby, and starting to panic about the second. I’m 34.5 weeks pregnant and the fear is really starting to kick in.

Me! Only did with my first. But didn’t with second or third. I was so terrified on my second but never hemorrhaged

Don’t have that mindset or you’ll stress your baby out and won’t be able to push.

I’m truly NOT being suicidal in any way or form, I might just be exaggerating with fear of delivery which SUCKS! ☹️ I truly would like to know if anyone else fears of dying when going in delivery? Does anyone at all think they’re going to die?! Like it’s going to be too much for your body? And women sharing their “horrible delivery experiences” on tiktok makes it worse each time I have to skip through a video of those but then I feel like I just need to be prepared for everything and anything which is sad lol like WTF?
