Cradle cap in babies

Cradle cap (Seborrheic Dermatitis) is common in babies and not a serious condition. Here is how to treat it:

  • The excess of sebum causes the appearance of small whitish or yellowish oily or crusty patches on the scalp of babies.
  • Cradle cap is harmless, and simply a form of baby dandruff.
  • They disappear spontaneously and quickly.
  • If you want to speed up the process, massage your child's scalp with an emollient cream, leave it on for a few minutes and then shampoo it by gently rubbing the scalp.
  • If the cradle cap persists, don't hesitate to talk to your pediatrician.

Moms that is battling cradle cap with their newborns, thought I’d share a natural way of dealing with it. Coconut baby helped me out. Only used it twice no more dryness. See the comment for the image of my baby’s head.

A fine tooth baby comb and baby oil. Take your time and gently loosen the flakes combing the hair in one direction. It will take more than one session for it all to loosen up so don't get upset if you can't get it all in one go. You also don't want baby's scalp to get tender from trying to get it all out the baby's hair in one session. I hope this helps❤️❤️❤️

I put this stuff on my baby’s cradle cap and it literally fell off in the bath 🤯 like a bunch of the scales got soft and looked like little white dots stuck in her hair, pics of her head in comments ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

Baby girl has really bad cradle cap still. I haven’t really done anything with it. What’s the best way to get rid of it or lessen it?

Cradle cap is killing Khyier hair with his help of course pulling it at night! 🙄 The only thing I put on their heads is coconut oil.

It's just normal for babies to shed hair without the cradle cap in the first few months of life, but it'll grow back thicker and in it's true texture/color :) my girl's cradle cap is finally going away and her hair is getting so thick already
