Regurgitation and reflux in babies
Your baby has reflux after feeding? This physiological phenomenon is very common during the first months of an infant's life.
- In most cases, regurgitation, also called gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), is not dangerous for your child's health.
- It is simply a backflow of milk mixed with saliva from the stomach into the mouth.
- Don't confuse reflux with vomiting, which involves muscular effort.
- Reflux naturally disappears around 9 to 12 months of age, when baby is standing up.
- If reflux is too frequent, painful, and happens away from meals, consult your pediatrician.

My baby is 7 weeks old and I’m doing both breast milk and formula. He’s drinking around 4-5 ounces but he spits up a lot after if not burped fully or maybe just has a lot of reflux. Do any other mommas have the same problem with their baby? How can I help with reflux?

My baby is struggling with reflux to and honestly you can’t do a lot to help it but make sure you just burp them after feeding and lay them on their side to decrease it

Thank you for the advice. I just feel like he’s not eating and getting as full because he’s throwing it up. I hope as he gets bigger it’s less.

Just found out my one month baby girl has acid reflux. It’s the worst to see your baby in pain. This journey with this baby is overwhelming. #4 #allbabiesaredifferent

What r her symptoms? I think my girl have it too but she swallow a lot of air when she eats cause she have tongue tie but i burp her a lot

She is fussy (colic) and very gassy. She was farting and burping so much. She starts crying during feeding. Cry during her awake time. Didn’t like to do tummy time for long at all. So the feeds has been spread out as in a little at a time over the three hours. She arches her back and tries to go on her side to get away from the pain. So what I would do to see if she does is have her feed upright and have her upright at least 30 min after feeding too. If that helps a little I would go to the doctor to get some meds. It has helped my baby until the meds kick in.

So anybody else baby has reflux ? Idk if it’s reflux but even after I get 4 bug burps out she still throw up and idk what too can sb help ? 🥺

Is she breastfeeding? It could be the formula if not, my daughter breastfed and formula fed but I found out she had an intolerance to cow milk and that was in the she formula she was using.

My boy kinda choked couple of times and the milk came out of his nostrils so basically he has reflux, who’s baby had the same experience? And what do you do for reflux?

She got tested and she has reflux but the milk they put her on and gave her nexium she still throws up.

She is coughing and spitting up after every feedings but everything started off of an cold. She will spit up the solid food now it’s the milk … plus they said she’s 21 pounds and when she was 6 months she was 18 pounds how she gain so much in one month

If you're using formula try to get "Enfamil AR. If you use WIC your baby's pediatrician can fill out a form provided by WIC to get the milk changed. They milk worked for my baby to avoid acid reflux meds

Acid reflux is the devil during pregnancy. EVERYTIME I eat I either throw up or having really bad Acid Reflux. I have a hiatal hernia so that doesn’t make it any better. Send Help 🫣

Omg it keeps me up at night as soon as I go to lay down the acid starts creeping up my throat it sucks 😥 I'm sorry sounds like he'll with the hernia too
