Induction was very smooth until it got time to push. Cord got wrapped and caused him to drop his heart rate really low so we got taken back for a c section. We are both doing great!

When does the umbilical cord fall off?
After giving birth, the umbilical cord that connected you to your baby for 9 months is cut. But it doesn't fall off right away.
- Once you are home with your baby in your arms, you will be responsible for the care of the umbilical cord.
- The cord must dry before it falls off between 5 and 15 days after birth.
- Once the umbilical cord has fallen off, it takes about 7 to 10 more days for the area to heal completely.
- To avoid any risk of infection, clean the umbilical cord and the bellybutton every day with a cotton swab soaked in lukewarm water and dry it well.

In my opinon castor oil made not only me poop but my baby also while in belly ( not good) . I recommend moms STAY AWAY from that way of inducing labor. Also mammas when ur baby switches from moving alot to less than 10 times EVERY 2 hours late on in ur pregancy PLEASE CHECK IT OUT! I was told she was big(8lbs) and had little room to move. Actually she was born at 6lbs and the umbillical cord was wrapped 4 TIMES around her little neck! It's up to us to pay attention to those little things that can be VERY BIG THINGS! When I started contracting her heart rate would drop, that made the doc admit me at just 1cm. At 2cm it dropped more so he decided c-section. Thats when they found out about the cord. Mammas I had 3 ultrasounds by doc and 3 by 3D tech, they cant see the cord. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO BABYS MOVEMENTS! #fuckcastoroil

Oh gosh mama, I’m sorry that happened to you both. 🤎😣 That sounds so scary!! One of my sisters had the cord around her neck, I think my mom had to get an emergency c-section, but I can’t remember all of the details.

I'm so sorry for your experience. But I am glad you posted awareness because I tried to warn another mom about it and she snapped on me and told me She took it before and she was fine. It almost killed me. I,took it and I kept vomiting and pooping. I became severely dehydrated and depleted my magnesium and potassium and developed a heart condition. My heart was working at 25 I almost died. But you know ppl,think they know it all. When you genuinely care and try to prevent what happened to you from happening to them.

Okay lady's my little ones umbilical cord is bleeding a bit I noticed dryed blood on it today I'm not sure what to do , her cord hasn't fell off yet because he cord was alot more thicker than a normal cord but it's bleeding a small bit I think her clothes and diapers are irritating it what can I do??
