The baby blues a year later: possible?

The baby blues are a difficult time in a mother's life, but they don't last. When the unhappiness sets in, it is called postpartum depression.

  • The mood disorder known as the baby blues is a common phenomenon after childbirth, usually occurring within 3 to 10 days of birth.
  • To be considered as the baby blues, the feeling of depression should not last more than two weeks.
  • Beyond that, it may be a depression that needs to be treated by a health professional to be properly addressed.
