All about the benefits of breastfeeding

It's obvious to you—you've decided to breastfeed your baby, but do you really know all the benefits of breastfeeding?

  • Your baby will be more resistant to the various infections to which he or she is exposed, especially those of a gastrointestinal nature.
  • You will lose your pregnancy weight more quickly.
  • You'll recover earlier from childbirth.
  • You will reduce the risk of developing breast cancer.
  • Your baby will be less likely to be overweight thanks to milk that is perfectly adapted to his needs.
  • He will also be less likely to develop inflammatory diseases or respiratory pathologies.
  • Of course, this list is far from being exhaustive!

As a breastfeeding mama I’m learning so much about the benefits and uses of breastmilk for baby’s and adults. Even though for adults there aren’t many but for my baby there’s so many. Us adults have different body needs so the breastmilk won’t help us as much as our babies. I’m so glad I chose to breastfeed even though it’s a lot of work I’m glad it’s helping keeping my baby healthy. 🤍⭐️

Okay if y’all switch from combination feeding to exclusively breastfeeding, don’t tell wic. They just jacked my benefits up, I thought I was going to get a lot more but now I just get like 2 dozen eggs, more cheese, more milk, baby food and tuna 🐟

Thanks for the info! I just got it and I’m giving her formula because she can’t latch on so they told me to call them if I do end up breastfeeding

I breastfed and formula fed together in the past with my first 2. With all the milk scares, prices of formula, and benefits of breastfeeding for baby and mommy in general, it’s a really big goal of mine to exclusively breastfeed! What are some supplements or tricks and tips that you breastfeeding mommies can give me? I want to start milk production before baby comes!!!!

Most supplements you can’t/shouldn’t start until after baby is born. In the mean time you can keep hella hydrated, eat lots of oatmeal, flaxseeds, almonds, barley, lots of protein, chickpeas, lentils and leafy greens. Moringa tea. Red raspberry leaf tea (careful drinking while pregnant I’ve seen some ladies go into labor but that’s cuz their baby and uterus were ready. It’s really just meant to strengthen your uterus to help prepare for labor so a cup a day is fine). Homemade lactation cookies. Once baby is born and you want to try supplements Legendairy is a good brand it’s fenugreek free (some women lose supply with fenugreek and others gain you’ll have to see where you land). There is mothers milk tea. Boobie superfoods is another brand I’ve seen good reviews on. I’ve used the Upspring drinks and liked those. Milkmakers is another brand with drinks, snacks and cookies. I’ve seen someone become an oversupplier with the Milky Momma products.

Once the baby comes, then you can start that because you could be over supplier. But for me to keep up with breast-feeding I stay home so I can just EBF and I I pump when I can to keep up with my supply. Also, to keep up with your supply, you can drink body armor drink. So anything with coconut or oat is good for your supply.
