Breastfeeding and breast pain

If you experience pain when you breastfeed, here are some tips to help you understand the possible causes.

  • Ejection of milk sometimes causes discomfort for breastfeeding moms, ranging from a slight tingling sensation to unpleasant pain.
  • In most cases, this sensation only lasts as long as it takes your body to get used to its new functions!
  • If you are producing a lot of milk, you may feel a twinge.
  • A sharp pain does not necessarily mean it's serious, but talking to your doctor will tell you more.

Can any moms message me about not breastfeeding and how to reduce the pain and not get mastitis… my anxiety is taking a toll on me from my boobs filling…

So I had my first appointment last week. While the doctor was checking my breast she scheduled me to have a second opinion and do an ultrasound on my left one. I go in tomorrow. Idk if it's pregnancy hormones but I'm freaking out. Of course I'm thinking the worst and that I have cancer. I have pain too. I just assumed it was bc I just stopped breastfeeding. Any thoughts?

Okay so I’m currently recovering from a c section & In the hospital I was taking Motrin , Tylenol , & oxycodone for pain, while breastfeeding. They sent me home with the meds but I’m not sure if I should take them. Google says it’s fine before the milk comes in but I have milk soooo #help

What do y’all use for nipple pain? The hospital told me that the nipple cream isn’t FDA approved and to make sure im cleaning my nipples off well before breastfeeding… so i got coconut oil to help keep them hydrated but my god they’re soreee today. #breastfeeding #pain

Be careful of getting a nipple yeast/thrush infection.. keep your breast dry and clean .. use coconut oil .. change breast pads frequently breastfeeding or pumping moms .. I have been helping a family member get rid of hers and pumping for her and the pain she’s in is excruciating judging by her nipples and screams

My baby has reflux, I’m having a hard time deciphering what I can and cannot eat to help prevent it from since I am breastfeeding only. It’s frustrating and overwhelming for I know she’s in pain and there’s nothing I can do she’s so fussy I feel like I can’t eat anything based off what I’m reading online. Any moms had this issue?
