How are you handling the “vaccine talk” with family? Are you making it mandatory that anyone in close contact with baby be UTD on Tdap vaccine? What about flu and covid?

What are the mandatory vaccines?
Wondering what vaccines are required in the U.S.? It all depends on when your baby was born, as regulations have recently changed.
- If your baby was born before January 1, 2018, the vaccines to be administered are those against diphtheria, tetanus, and polio (DTP) at the ages of 2, 4 and 11 months.
- For children born on or after January 1, 2018, 8 additional vaccines against pertussis, measles, rubella, mumps, Haemophilus influenza B, hepatitis B, meningococcus C, and pneumococcus must be added to this list.
- These must be done before the age of 2.
- For French citizens in French Guyana, vaccination against yellow fever is mandatory from the age of 1.

So, I heard the glucose test and TDAP shot are mandatory not recommended. Is this true?

the TDAP is recommended i dont think its mandatory because i was asked if i wanted it but the glucose test im not sure. You could always refuse and see where things go from there.

Did anyone else get the Tdap vaccine around your 27th week that’s what the app told me to expect also my sister told me about it because she’s 4 weeks ahead of me.. anyways it’s no mandatory but it makes since to get that for sure.. I hope it don’t bruise me and I hate shots anyways 🙄

I got it around 30 weeks, it made me tired and upset tummy for the first day or so then my arm was sore for awhile but other than that I didnt really get may side effects.
