The first vaccines for infants

Even as an infant, a baby must be vaccinated to protect against diseases and avoid contaminating other children. Here's how it should go:

  • From now on, 11 vaccines are mandatory for infants born from January 1, 2018.
  • The first injections take place at 2 months of age.
  • The first vaccines administered are those against diphtheria, tetanus, polio, pertussis, Influenza type B (flu), pneumococcus and hepatitis B.
  • For effective protection, a booster shot is required at 4 and 11 months of age.
  • Vaccination is essential for your baby to be admitted to a group setting, such as a daycare center.

Make sure you follow the CDC’s childhood immunization schedule for all recommended vaccines.

Have anyone else got the rsv vaccine for there baby ( under 3 months ) or any vaccines .. I’m seeing so many mothers on TikTok saying that getting a vaccine before they turn 1 can cause issues or death & it has me extremely nervous especially being a first time mom 🥺

I’m not doing RSV. But I did the rotavirus and tdap at the two month appointment and everything is going ok thus far. My other 3 are also vaccinated. Haven’t had any issues

I didn’t get any other vaccines or anything cause I’m always skeptical about them but I did get that one ! since babies don’t get their first shots till 2 months it’s definitely a good idea you could always do some research on it first before deciding but it’s definitely safe for baby !

During pregnancy we know our doctors like to push vaccines on us. I decline the covid and flu vaccine. After one miscarriage I didnt want take any chances or risk. But their is a vaccine they reccomend to protect baby called the tdap (pertussis) vaccine. Does any mothers know about this an what you recommend. Especially if you have had multiple kids... just let this first time mom know

I’ve always skipped the flu vaccine. No one has offered the Covid one but I won’t be doing that either. But the tdap I’ve done. It’s protects you and baby from whooping cough which is no good if baby gets it

I don't ever get the flu shot. I won't ever get the covid vaccine or monkey pox vaccine. None of that bullshit. I won't be participating in those experiments. For the Tdap, that's actually the only one my doc office tried to really push on me. They say it's to protect you & baby from whopping cough. They recommend you get it during every pregnancy. It's my first baby, but I passed on that too. I don't believe in most of the vaccines out there, especially while I was pregnant. I just wasn't comfortable with it.
