Vaccination in babies: how to prepare for it?

While it may not be the most pleasant time, vaccinations are required at a young age. Here are some tips on how to prepare for them.

  • First, remember that the first immunization shot will be the most difficult.
  • It's important to make sure it goes as smoothly as possible, so that neither you nor your baby are afraid of the following ones.
  • Make an appointment with your regular pediatrician, who you trust and with whom your child is already familiar.
  • If your baby is sick on the day of the appointment, reschedule.
  • Finally, don't forget your baby's binky and/or pacifier, which are essential to comfort them.

Question for all you mamas!!💉 So they told me at my glucose appointment that on my next appointment I’ll need to get a vaccine. For whooping cough to protect the baby so it can already have it when I give birth. With my first I never needed to get any vaccine never even heard of that before of needing a vaccine while pregnant. Do you guys have to get it too? Is this a new thing. I just don’t trust everything and not sure what to do.

I recommend the tdap bc it prevents baby from getting whooping cough once born, but I'm skipping the flu shot this time

Any women have any tips or advice on being pregnant and getting vaccine? I am a healthcare worker and now have to get it by January 4th to keep a job. I wouldn’t be as Leary on it if I wasn’t pregnant. Anyone have any thoughts or good experience with having vaccine and healthy baby? Please help!!

thanks for the input! I’m planning to get the vaccine by 20 weeks? I’m overthinking right now about the possible effect to the baby, because there’s no enough study yet…
