Breastfeeding until the baby is two years old or more

While long-term breastfeeding is taboo in France, it is still recommended by the World Health Organization for the good growth of the baby.

  • "It's incestuous" or "Cut the cord"... are sentences heard by mothers who have chosen to breastfeed for a long time.
  • The World Health Organization (WHO) advises exclusive breastfeeding until at least six months, until food introduction.
  • But the same organization recommends breast milk until the child is two years old or more.
  • In addition to the nutritional and immunological qualities, the baby feels emotional security that will allow him to grow better.
  • If you go back to work, you will have to adjust your schedule to keep the morning and evening feedings.
  • If you feel anxious, don't hesitate to ask your doctor or pediatrician for advice.

Hi! So currently TTC for baby #2. Im still breastfeeding 2 times a day with my first(getting him down to less has proved challenging). AF is currently 4 days late. I am 11 DPO. Today is day 35 of my cycle. I took two tests this morning first thing—both PFN. I’ve been experiencing serious bloating and clear, sticky cervical mucus(sorry if that’s TMI). Feeling a little discouraged—I truly thought I would see a BFP this morning. Do I still have hope or should I call this month a wash? Thank you!!
