The benefits of exclusive breastfeeding

Even if industrial milk formulas are carefully studied, nothing beats exclusive breastfeeding until the baby's dietary diversification.

  • Your baby isn't born yet, but you've already decided: you're going to breastfeed.
  • Exclusive breastfeeding has many benefits.
  • First of all, it strengthens the relationship between mother and baby by giving the baby a sense of security that will make her calmer and less stressed.
  • Studies have shown that breastfed babies are more resistant to infections, such as ear infections or gastroenteritis, but also to allergies.
  • Rich in lactose and with a low protein concentration, breast milk is easily digestible, reducing gas and colic in newborns.
  • The last benefit is weight loss. According to a British study, breastfeeding can help you lose 500 calories a day, which is a great way to shed unwanted pounds!

Breastfeeding mommies... can you share your favorite breastfeeding bras and where they were purchased? Preferably something affordable 💗

I have bought the “hofish” brand on Amazon! They come in a 3 pack for like $30? The only issue I have with them is the adjustments on the straps don’t stay put but I can manage on the lowest setting lol

Im an exclusive pumper. Currently have 1 month stocked up. I am hoping my supply doesn't change drastically when I go back to work or start birth control next week. How do you moms rotate your stock and how did you see your milk supply change with birth control and being away from baby.

I pump about every 3 hours, 20 to 30 mins and I do wake up at night. At night I actually get the most ounces. It's hard getting up at night but the pain wakes me up anyways. I'm a little worried about the sleeping once I go back to work.

and I always have his bottle ready. when he eats I pump so that's why I pump about every 3 hours. I have a pump that goes in bra so i can walk around. I pump in the car, everywhere! Im covered up but really dont break my schedule unless i sleep longer. Be consistent! I've heard babys saliva helps with the let down if you do both breastfeed and pump. Also use a haaka when breastfeeding.

I’m an exclusive breastfeeding mom and i normal just pump to relieve pressure. Today my right side has been hurting. I want to cry when anything touches it. I don’t know what to do to make it stop hurting. I have pumped and I get some about 2-3 oz. Please help.

I did earlier I don’t feel like it helped. I honestly can’t tell if it is swollen. I feel like my at an all time huge. I feel like they are bigger than when I Breastfed my first son which was only a month in between the two.
