Pregnancy weird dreams

Weird dreams
As your body goes through many changes during pregnancy, your dreams might become more vivid and strange. You might dream about things that you normally wouldn't, and they might even feel more real than your daily life.

This symptom is caused by a shift in hormones and usually occurs in the second and third trimesters.

Is it normal?
It is completely normal to experience vivid and weird dreams during pregnancy. Dreams might vary from person to person, but they typically involve unusual scenarios, people, or events that might seem surreal, for better 🦄 or for worse 👹.

These dreams tend to increase as you get closer to your due date. This is because your anticipation and stress levels rise as you prepare for the arrival of your little one. However, they usually subside after giving birth.
Prevent and care
Improving your mental and physical well-being can give you more pleasant dreams. You may consider the following advice.
  • Don’t drink liquids before bed to avoid the urge to urinate in the middle of the night (any more than that extra pressure pregnancy places on your bladder already requires).
  • Keep your room dark, quiet, and at a comfortable temperature. Turn off the television, close the drapes, and remove electronic devices from the room.
  • While it’s okay to nap during the day if you’re tired, avoid long naps that could keep you awake at night.
  • Take steps to relax before bed. This might mean enjoying a book, doing some deep breathing, taking a bath or shower, or listening to your favorite soothing music.
Some theories suggest that dreaming is how you store memories. And in a lot of ways, dreams act as therapy, according to the National Sleep Foundation.

When to consult?
If you experience repetitive nightmares or dreams that are causing you distress, you should speak with your loved ones or healthcare provider.

They can assist you in managing your symptoms and provide you with helpful advice to put your mind at ease.

Sometimes I have dreams where I’m on my stomach and I wake up worried, or just other crazy shit. Lol. I know it’s so strange but do any of you moms ever have crazy dreams of doing things and then wake up confused? Pregnancy brain/dreams are weird. 😬

Yes. It's absolutely normal. I dreamed of my grandparents that have been gone for about 2 years now. And it was me telling them they were going to be great grandparents.

Anyone else getting crazy dreams during their pregnancy? Like I would have dreams once in a while but they aren’t everyday and very real feeling. I’ve been having scary dreams too, like me flying back home and seeing dead pigs everywhere, or my aunt killing my entire family 😂 idk it’s been so weird cause I’ve never had dreams like this before 😂😂😂
