Baby has a flat head

Your baby's head appears to be flatter on one side than the other. It's important not to overlook this:

  • Your baby's head is very malleable and adopts the shape of the crib when sleeping.
  • More than aesthetic, the flattening of your child's head can have consequences on the development of motor skills, eyesight, and cause problems with teeth.
  • It is advisable to change the position of your baby's head when they sleep.
  • Use a lateralization pillow to alternate your baby's position in the crib.

How bad is it to lay flat on your back? i sleep on my left side every night and lay propped up to watch tv and stuff but i had to get an ultrasound on my neck today and i was literally flat for probably like 7 minutes idk if that’s bad, i’m 21 weeks

For a tiny bit it’s not bad it’s bad if you sleep on your back because it can cut blood and oxygen off and make you dizzy and it puts pressure on every thing that’s in your back if it was for a ultrasound I would not worry. But try not to sleep on your back I would not lay on it for hours either

My baby is suffering from flat head syndrome and am trying to prevent him from wearing a helmet as the time comes. Does anyone have an advice on how I can correct it?

I would try moving his head in certain positions when he's sleeping.

Ok mommas I'm a first time momma to a 4 month old and he's got a flat head. I do tummy time 3 times a day and rub his back of his head and everything. Is this normal? Picture so I don't get lost. Please not negative comments thank you!
