When to register for the maternity ward.
You are sure that you're pregnant, so you have to register at the maternity hospital so that you're not caught off guard.
Don't delay in registering at the maternity ward! Some maternity wards are full.
- You will have to make sure that you are quite ahead, especially if you live in the Paris area.
- Don't hesitate to visit and get information about the maternity hospitals before registering! There are often registration times and days.
- Call the reception desk before you go and remember to take your certificate of open rights from the Social Security.

Hey mama’s fyi Walmart, target, Amazon and Babylist give you big boxes of nice free baby stuff when you register. I have gotten all 4 boxes. Definitely worth it. This was in one as example.

Bottles, diapers, burp cloths, shampoos, basic clothes, towels, bibs, pacifiers and teething toys all seem like basic necessities

So what you can do is Google a newborn checklist for your baby. Or you can go onto Amazon and create a registry that guides you through it.

When did you pre register for your hospital? Also when did you pick a pediatrician for your baby? Once you oucked the pediatrician, did you give them a call to let them know you wanted them for your baby?

I called my pediatrician when I was about 17 weeks but mine stated that once my baby is born, then I can reach back out to the one that I want & we can then set up an appointment. The baby has to be born but when you have your child, a pediatrician will be in the hospital for you until you get out.

Started it prior to conceiving. Used Amazon for registry but ppl do more than one place to get the nice free baby gift bags 😊
