What to bring to the delivery room?

Your suitcase for the maternity ward is already packed, but have you thought about preparing a bag for the delivery room?

  • On the big day, there's no need to take your entire suitcase to the delivery room.
  • Just pack a large cotton t-shirt like a nightgown, a pair of socks if you're cold, and a cardigan.
  • Your nursing pillow to be comfortable.
  • Tissues and a spray bottle.
  • A bottle of water so you don't get dehydrated.
  • A book, music, and magazines to help you relax.
  • For the baby, bring a long-sleeved bodysuit, a cotton hat, velvet pajamas, a wool jumper, and a pair of socks.
  • For the size, follow the estimate given by the obstetrician or the midwife a month before the birth.
  • Finally, a camera is a must to immortalize the moment!

This is such a good idea, I'm going to make me one too. Thank you for sharing that idea. I would say Jhene Aiko-Promises is a good way to start ❤️😊

14 days till due date and trying to wrap my head around possibly doing this alone. husband left me 7 months pregnant and moved in with a friend of ours and started dating her. he and I will be filing for divorce soon. She has him wrapped around her finger and I’m the lowest on the priority list for him now. how does one prepare to be the only person in the delivery room?

Who else thinks it's a very special experience for the unborn child's grandmother to be in the delivery room to watch at least one of her grandchildren being born? I want my mother in law to be in the delivery room to watch the third or fourth child being born when we decide to have another baby

Mommies: Please be careful with how many hands hold and interact with your baby in the delivery room. Not everyone is in good spirits and babies are very sensitive.

They’re allowing more than one person due to Covid? I would say whatever you’re comfortable with
