Natural childbirth before term: what to do?

You're all set, waiting for the due date, and counting the days.

  • Except that your baby is in a greater hurry than expected to meet her family and that contractions disrupt your plans.
  • If you are less than 8 months pregnant, it is better to go to the maternity hospital as soon as possible in order to be taken care of quickly.
  • Giving birth too early can have consequences for your baby's health.
  • However, if you are in the last month of pregnancy, don't worry, the baby is usually ready to come out!

I'm 27 weeks, my last child was preterm at 34 weeks and I had a retained placenta.. I'm currently experiencing lots of pelvic pressure, back pain and every other day pinkish/light brown discharge, could it be possible I'm going to have another preterm delivery??

I need opinions on getting a c-section? My OB thinks it would be a good idea for me to get a C-section whenever babyboy makes his arrival. I’m 33 weeks and 1 day and he’s measuring at 36 weeks and his head is measuring 37 weeks. He’s already weighing 5lb 11 oz…..he’s also already in the 90th percentile… My last delivery with my daughter she was born preterm at 34 weeks and 6 days weighing 5lb and 13oz and gave me a third degree tear! So doctor thinks it would be a good idea for a C-section since I should go full term this time around!!! but they said it’s my choice. I want the mommas who had a C-section to tell me there experience on recovery and etc.
