Natural weaning of the breastfed baby
Breastfeeding a baby ends either by induced action or natural weaning.
Here's what you need to know about the latter type of weaning:
- Breastfeeding ends naturally based on your child's needs.
- The age varies from child to child.
- Your baby will express that he no longer wants to breastfeed.
- He must be old enough to be able to eat solid food himself.
- Natural weaning usually occurs between 2.5 and 7 years of age.
