no judgement zone please lol. but ever since i’ve been pregnant, both me and my man have been negative for STDs. the last time i was checked was 9/22 and his on 10/11. we both know for a fact we’ve only been with each other and there’s no way we could have been messing around. i got a swab on 11/01 and it came back positive for chlamydia! like wtf. both of us are super confused. we’re hoping it’s a false positive because we don’t know how this could be possible. and it sucks bc it’s making our relationship crumble. we both are getting retested so hopefully they come back negative. i’ve also read that false positives on STD tests are common during pregnancy which is crazy. has anybody heard or been through anything like this? #help

and i’ve been checked 3 whole times before this since pregnancy and it’s always been negative. it just doesn’t make any sense

Pregnancy tests keep coming back negative but keep having random stomach flutters on my left side

If you wait a week and it’s still not there call an obgyn office and ask to speak to a nurse they will tell you to wait a week and if ur period is not there or ur test is still negative call them back to schedule an appointment and you will go from there. That’s what I did and I have an appointment to figure out what’s going on. There are a few other females going through the same thing no period for this whole month

Stress really does stunt your cycle baby girl…
I know I can’t tell you what to do but I really think you need to take a step back, try not to obsess over it too much (not trying to sound insensitive at all I promise) and let life do what it needs to. Get your fluids, eat well, take vitamins, exercise, etc. Make sure your partner is taking these steps too.
I whole heartedly can’t wait for you to pop positive after seeing how badly you want this. You’re so young, it’ll happen when you least expect it 💕 sending you so much love and baby dust.

so I got 2 positive tests, then took another one a day ago and it came out negative but it said keep the test in the pee for 20 seconds then lay it flat and I left it in the pee for more then 20 seconds and I believe it’s a false negative. I’m not sure I’m new too this.

Congrats! So there’s a chance that if I just took the test wrong it could be a false negative.

Me and my husband have been ttc baby #2 and I’ve taken tests and they’ve either came back with a false positive or negative. Does this look positive to anyone? Should I keep testing or wait to see if I get my period?

Has anyone else gotten results back saying at risk for neural tube defects then got a scan and it been a false positive and everything been fine? I’ve heard false positives are very common. I get my scan tomorrow

Everyone I know says they have gotten false positives for the nipt and panorama testing that’s why I’m waiting to find out the gender until I’m 20 weeks and can do it through the ultrasound. I don’t want to get results saying at risk for something anyways and be stressed out the whole pregnancy for nothing.

That’s my thoughts on it too. It’s still going to be my baby and I’m still going to give birth and love it regardless. It kinda sucks having to wait to find out the gender but I’d rather wait than be stressed out about something I can’t control or possibly be completely wrong.

Anyone ever have high AFP results and have a false positive? My doctor called with the results and said false positives are common but wants me to go for a detailed ultrasound and possibly an amniocentesis to look into this more.

Be careful with the amniocentesis. I never had one with either of my 5 kids and won't with this one. Heard it could cause miscarriage or some damage. Read up on it.
