Weight loss after pregnancy

In order not to be left with your pregnancy weight, which can weigh on your morale in the long run, take control of your life right after giving birth!

After giving birth, try to find good habits to lose the weight you have accumulated during 9 months:

  • If you've decided to breastfeed your baby, that's a great idea! Breastfeeding stimulates the uterus, which makes it easier for your belly to regain its shape.
  • On a daily basis, opt for healthy, light food that you can digest easily.
  • Do some gentle exercises like pilates or yoga.
  • Taking your baby for a walk in the stroller is also a great way to get some exercise.

My pre-pregnancy weight was 214 for the longest time I struggled to lose weight. My 1st trimester I lost 10 pounds. My son is measuring in the 84th percentile for weight (big boy). Now at 8 months pregnant I'm back to 214😅. Hoping after he's here the weight loss journey will really start working and ill be under 200! Have a goal to get to 140 like i was 5 years ago!🤞

I've been the same as you. Lost 12 pounds and finally started gaining back. I've gained 10 pounds back so far. Hopefully after she's born I can start losing too!

Weight loss after pregnancy? I got pregnant at 119 -121 pounds and I'm almost back to 180 🫣. Is baby fat hard to lose? I've always had troubles losing weight and I wanna get back to at least around 130 if not lower. Below 130 has always been my goals for weight since I was in like 8th grade. I just wanna know if it's really even possible to lose the weight and work enough to reach my goals or if I just have an impossible goal set in mind

Ask the hospital for a postpartum band to help shape you back to your normal size . If you are breastfeeding you will also lose the weight quicker. Make sure your still eating healthy and drink plenty of water so you would be able to breastfeed/ pump.

I didn't work out or anything and it took about a year for me to get back to my normal weight. I guess it depends on how fast ur body burns fat, if ur gonna work out after ur cleared, and if ur breastfeeding.

How much weight did you all gain during pregnancy? I had weight loss surgery a few years back and I’m terrified to get that big again. I was 277 and now I’m 170 & been maintaining it for 4 years now. I’m only 4 weeks and have way long to go but I’m just curious. #firsttrimester #earlypregnancy

Hi everyone! I'm just over the 16 week mark but am a little worried as I haven't gained weight. Since getting pregnant, I've pretty much just fluctuated a pound or two above my pre-pregnancy weight. No morning sickness or weight loss in the first trimester. Is it ok to not be putting on weight yet?

I've noticed a lot of post with women expressing their concerns about weight gain during and after pregnancy. Weight can be loss! When I was younger I was always a heavy set girl and before I got pregnant I lost a tremendous amount of weight working out, eating better, etc. And once I drop my bean I'm getting right back to it! Mind over matter ladies! And even if you don't lose the weight so what!? You carried a whole little human! Stay strong ladies and don't sweat the small stuff.

Wow!!!! How are you doing it?! All I crave is junk 😩 I try really hard not to give in but I can’t exercise right now and I used to work out 5 days a week so anything I eat makes a big impact these days

Exactly, it's much easier to burn healthy nutritious foods than it is to burn fatty rich foods.

Lost 10 pounds during first trimester due to morning sickness and gained only the 10 pounds back by 20 weeks. Do you count this as weight gain or do you personally count from your starting weight prior to weight loss?

-10+10=0 so technically no, but it's a great thing that you gained the weight back. So with myself for instance, pre pregnancy I lost 9 pounds due to catching Covid, another 4 pounds in my first trimester and I've only gained back 7 pounds so far. So I still have 6 pounds to gain to get back to my normal weight.

I feel like such a blimp! My babe says I'm beautiful but I'm still self conscious about my weight. Iv gained 20 pounds so far. Before I got pregnant I had gastric sleeve weight loss surgery 4 years ago and lost 70 pounds. Now my hips are growing cuz of the pregnancy. Honestly the whole point of that weight loss surgery was to be able to get pregnant. I'm trying to get my water intake in but it always makes me pee! Sorry if it sounds like I'm complaining or being ungrateful. I just been feeling exhausted

No tips for that him, I don't try and lose weight during the pregnancy, but I do exercise when I can. I also make more of an effort to lose it after pregnancy.
