Help, where is the nausea?

Help, Where is the Nausea? 😫
Understanding the Causes of Nausea 🤔
Nausea during pregnancy, commonly known as morning sickness, is a normal occurrence experienced by around 70-80% of pregnant women. Despite the name, it can happen at any time of the day and is thought to be triggered by hormonal changes in your body. Specifically, increased levels of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) and estrogen are believed to contribute to feelings of queasiness.
Coping Strategies for Nausea 🤰
  1. Eat small, frequent meals: Instead of having three large meals, try consuming five to six smaller meals throughout the day. An empty stomach can worsen nausea, so keep some snacks like crackers or fruit nearby to munch on when you feel hungry.
  2. Stay hydrated: Sip on fluids such as water, herbal teas, or ginger ale throughout the day. Avoid drinking large amounts at once, as it may make you feel bloated. If the taste of water is unappealing, try adding a slice of lemon or infusing it with fresh fruits for a refreshing twist.
  3. Ginger to the rescue: Ginger has long been used as a natural remedy for nausea. Consider incorporating it into your diet by drinking ginger tea, chewing on ginger candies, or adding grated ginger to your meals. Discuss with your healthcare provider about using ginger supplements, as they may also be beneficial.
  4. Avoid triggers: Certain smells and foods can trigger or worsen nausea. Pay attention to what triggers your symptoms and try to avoid those triggers as much as possible. It may be helpful to keep a journal to identify patterns and take necessary precautions.
  5. Rest and relax: Fatigue and stress can exacerbate nausea. Ensure you get enough rest and prioritize self-care. Engage in activities that help you relax, such as taking a warm bath, practicing deep breathing exercises, or listening to calming music.

Tell your health care provider because they can help you. And don't leave out the detail of not keeping water down because that can be serious and will add to the urgency in which they help you
