Feeding your baby at 8 months

At 8 months, food diversification has seriously started and the baby's meals are less and less monotonous.

  • The baby also appreciates the variety of flavors and discovers new tastes with undisguised pleasure!
  • To their great delight, something new can now be offered daily.
  • The few teeth that have usually appeared allow the baby to discover pieces of food!
  • At the table with the family, you can even offer your baby a little bread crouton that will certainly be fun nibbling.
  • Of course, milk is still very present in their diet and can still be offered as a supplement at lunchtime.

My baby boy turned 4 months on the 11th, after he had his tongue tie clipped last month he won't take a bottle so I'm only breastfeeding. His pediatrician said we can start baby food but my husband wants to wait until he's 6 months. I have tickets for a concert for November 10th that I got last year, it's the last band on my bucket list that I really wanted to see. Idk what to do. If I do try baby food, what is best for a first food?? I'm a first time mom.

I would say try vegetables first because if u do fruits first they tend to not want the vegetables

When did you all start feeding your babies food (baby food)? I’ve seen as soon as they turned 4 months and others had different reasons why they waited! What are some things that will let me know he’s ready for baby food?

I have always started at 4 months with my older 3 bc that's when WIC started to cover it. Now they don't cover it until 6months (in my state anyways) bc they worry about child obesity. But me and baby girl started at 3.5 months. We only do one before bed at night. I personally started it bc she was sleeping so well that I wanted something a little heavier on her belly.

Same as Mindy in a way and thank you I knew they used to start at 4 months because with my oldest whos 12 that's when I remember here in CA lol anyway yes I just started a couple weeks ago with baby rice and now yesterday 3.5 months old baby 🥕.. just wait in between giving a new food 3 days to make sure no allergies or reaction occur

So yeah. I introduced sweet potato baby food today. I do realize he's young.. and no he isn't exactly ready but he's super close . He'll be 3 months on Friday. His ability to take in the food surprised me not much of it got pushed back out.

Are you introducing food at 4 months or 6 months? Baby food, purée food or soft foods ? I’ve also heard people doing it at 3 1/2 months

4 months for purées. 6 months for blw. You just wanna make sure baby has good head and neck control before starting foods

Also research shows their digestive systems aren't ready for food until 6 months. No reason to be in a rush to feed them

Anyone starting solids at 5 months old? My baby looks interested in watching me eat but doesn't try to grab the food from my plate. How do I know if it's okay to start or better wait until she's 6 months old?

Any tips on starting solids? My baby is almost 6 months and she will only eat puréed food. Any texture and she gags. She won’t even eat the baby rice.

She loves mashed potatoes but I haven’t tried refried beans! I’ll have to get some and see if she like it. I’m sorry your little ones has acid reflux. My daughter had it bad when she was first born and it was rough
