Vaginal delivery

A vaginal delivery is the most natural way to give birth to your child. It is important to know how it works:

  • The vaginal delivery begins with a pre-labor phase where you will feel the first contractions.
  • The obstetrician or midwife will check the dilation of your cervix and you will be taken to the labor room when you reach 3 cm.
  • If the contractions are too violent, you can ask to have an epidural that will quickly ease the pain.
  • When everything is ready, labor begins and you will push intensely to birth your baby following your contractions.

I had a vaginal delivery on 07/27 with about four stitches. What did sex feel like for y’all after four almost 5 weeks and how long did it take for it to not hurt? I didn’t have sex but I tried to see if I could and I felt lots of like pressure?

I waited the full 6 weeks. No stitches but slight abrasion on my urethra. The first time it was kind of uncomfortable and a lot of pressure. I also bled a little after. It got better the 2nd and 3rd time. Also, if you are breastfeeding, you may experience more dryness in that region. The doctor told me lube would become my friend.

I’m seeing a lot of cons about sex after a baby and while breast feeding kinda makes me sad :(

For anybody who has already had a vaginal delivery with no complications how long were you in the hospital for? I really don’t want to be there for more than 1 night lol

Usually 24 hours or one time I didn't get the GBS swab so I had to stay for 48 hours

Came on her own a day before her due date. Natural vaginal delivery went amazing at Stanford I’m so grateful for my nurses. Only pushed for about 2 hours minimal tearing. 7.2lbs and healthy as can be.

Got to see baby yesterday at 9w3d! Heartbeat 162 💞 I have an almost 6 year old I had to have a C-section with. I was told I can choose to deliver vaginally or have another C unless it’s an emergency. Can I get some experiences on having a vaginal delivery after a C?

Sometimes inductions lead to c sections because the medicine can put stress on the baby. My first baby 5 years ago was a week late, got induced, was in the hospital 2 days and I only dilated 4 cm. My baby was comfy and didn’t wanna come at all. Finally the doctor said she was in stress and I had to get a c section. She was 9 lb 3oz. Big as hell lol I’m schedule for another c section.

It’s annoying asf to me how my “friend” is so discouraging & negative about how my birth experience is going to be . Implying that “oh you’re going to a c section” this and that like excuse me just because I’m small doesn’t mean shit . I can have a vaginal delivery as long as the good Lord allows it . It’s all his plan . My plan is to do vaginal delivery I will be a little upset if that changes but as long as baby and I are safe that’s my main priority!
