Does anyone know anything about nitrous oxide for pain management during delivery?? I’m totally uncomfortable with that, but the hospital I’m delivering at it’s like there secondary “go to” for pain during delivery. I’ve done whip it’s in the past and I am NOT a fan at all, so that thought of that is pretty terrifying in my opinion, it’s not a great feeling.

Honestly, I've never heard of them using it as a secondary pain management during labor and delivery. But I'd definitely opt out of using it..

I been following all the ACOG recommendations bc it seems like I got into every one of the categories for early delivery lol my fluids are low they almost induced me immediately yesterday but dr rechecked her self and the number was higher but I’m scheduled for induction next Friday at 37+4 she’s using the balloon which I found out is a regular urinary catheter they blow up with 60 ccs til it falls out at 4 cm or so😫 then break my water and start pitocin. I found out they will only let me go 18 hr max after water broke so there’s a end goal in mind if my first time labor is prolonged will go to a CS. She said she doesn’t care what position I birth baby in I can be on all fours even with a epidural. Which I def plan to get so I’m considering that position and been watching videos lol hope the nurses don’t try to push back they always want to take the easy route ya know? Also I’m requesting a peanut ball it really helps dialate you! Oh and I was told make sure to let them know about epidural early because they have to have your lab work back and you know how long that could take as well as receive two bags of IV fluid I guess before epidural? Hope my fluid stays good when they recheck Monday they also started twice weekly NST ontop of BPP. Can’t wait but also so nervous!! How about you?!!

I’ve watched a few delivery videos for natural birth, is it true that listening to music can help you cope with the pain during labor?
