Benefits during maternity leave

If you are an employee in France and are expecting a baby, you are entitled to a daily allowance

.

Of course, the allowance is granted according to certain conditions:

  • You must have been registered with the Social Security system for at least 10 months before the estimated due date.
  • You must have worked at least 150 hours during the last 3 months before the birth or pregnancy diagnosis.
  • You do not have to do anything, but your employer will provide you with a salary certificate at the beginning of the prenatal leave period.

Is there anybody else worried about maternity leave? My job doesn’t offer paid maternity leave but I can take it unpaid. I’m someone who has to work to keep the bills paid. Is there anybody else in the same situation and what have you decided to do ?

I had the same problem ended up moving in with family so I can enjoy my maternity leave and not have to worry about money

You can apply for disability or paid family leave through edd I believe, that's what I did with my 1st 2 daughters and what I plan to do this time.
