I have my first appointment with my obgyn Nov 21st. What all happened for you guys during your first prenatal appointment ? did they do an ultrasound to measure how far along you are or just a bunch of questions and confirming pregnancy with blood test?

Just one. I’m having twins a boy and a girl. The blood test only showed that it was 90+% chance both twins were boys. We transferred a boy and girl during IVF. At the 20 week scan it was confirmed it was a boy and girl. The genetic counselor chatted with me about it being two boys. The lab tech mentioned right before the blood draw it won’t be able to detect both sexes. But we were just happy to be pregnant and having healthy babies whether it was two boys or boy girl.

Ok question, how early can you find out what your having? Someone told me you can find out as soon as 9 weeks? Through blood test? True or false? With my other 3 girls I had to wait until I was 26 weeks..

Just wanted to share because I'm not sure everyone knows this. If you are pregnant with your second child (does not effect first time pregnancies) and you experience any bleeding and you have a NEGATIVE blood type, call your doctor and tell them. I am 6 weeks pregnant with my 4th and had to get a shot of Rhogam due to bleeding and my negative blood type. I can't give scientific reasons why this is but please research it if you are experiencing this. #

I had to get it when I miscarried it’s bc if the baby is a positive carrier then your blood starts to attack the fetus and creating antibodies bc it sees it basically as a foreign object that it needs to get rid of

I just hit 9wks today and I found out this is super normal for this point in the pregnancy but it's supposed to get a little bit easier in the coming weeks but man is that stuff hard.

How many weeks can you get the sneak peek blood test for sex of baby, and if you did it was it accurate? Im so bad with waiting for surprises in general and want to find out as soon as i can lol
