Pregnancy leave

Your doctor or midwife can prescribe a pregnancy leave of absence, also called prenatal medical leave.

It is given if your pregnancy is difficult or if you feel very tired.

It must respect some rules:

  • For the prenatal period, it cannot exceed 14 days.
  • For the post-natal period, it cannot exceed 4 weeks and is only prescribed for a cesarean section or post-partum depression.
  • You must inform the CPAM and your employer within 48 hours.
