Get to know your ovulation and menstrual cycle

To give yourself the best chances of conceiving a baby, try to monitor your ovulation and menstrual cycle to determine your fertility window!

Here is some important information to better understand the cycle:

  • A normal cycle lasts 28 days.
  • Ovulation occurs around day 14.
  • The released egg can live up to 24 hours.
  • Your fertility window begins 4 days before ovulation.

To maximize your chances of conceiving, try to focus on the time between days 10 and 15 of your cycle.

Here is my TTC story!!! ๐Ÿ‘ฃ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿฝ **It's long so read at your own risk lol! ** when I had my daughter I wasn't with my Baby father And he was very rude and Disrespectful when it came to me... I met my Fiance when I was 10 weeks pregnant with my daughter But I didn't find out until I was 17 weeks pregnant. He decided to stay with me and Take care of her like she was his own. Since I was pregnant with my daughter he's told me about How he would love for me to have his kids and Be his wife ! I didn't believe it until he kept bringing it up lol. 1 year after giving birth I finally decided to start TTC With the Intentions to having a Planned Pregnancy for the first time. My cycles were All over the place and irregular due to Menorrhagia w Blood clots the size of a quarter . I Took lots of different Supplements that helped because my Doctor said she didnt think anything was wrong with my fertility and If I didn't get pregnant within a year of trying I should come In for treatment. I gave up TTC in December of 2021 Because I kept getting negative test and spending all of this money on things I felt weren't necessary... My boyfriend stated getting involved with my TTC Journey once he seen how stressful it was. We bought Pink stork... No baby. In February We found an Supplement called Fertilaid and Ovaboost from Fair Haven Health one helps with a womans reproductive system and the other Boosts Ovulation I also invested in A Pack of Easypregnancy test and a 10 pack of advanced digital Ovulation tests. I took these meds only during my Menstrual cycle... The first month(April 2022) I had no luck getting pregnant due to sickness I had the flu and Slept my whole Ovulation Dates away (I think I ovulated but was to out of it to notice I peaked)๐Ÿ’” The next cycle(May 2022) we was on it and did everything from Jump. We monitored my period The whole 6 days and Also Monitored ovulation everyday after my period ended! It took a while but After a while I had a consistent Result pattern of Lows Highs and then a PEAK! I prayed that this would be my chance... We baby Danced as soon as we got a high result and every other day after that ! I also laid with my legs in the air for 20 min each time we had sex. 10 Days past Ovulation I had some symptoms and a Lady on this app told me to test lol, I tested and Got a faint Positive!!! I kept it from my bf of course but after 15dpo I couldn't hold it any longer The test kept getting darker and darker and he was getting upset thinking this wasn't our chance... The night of 15dpo He came to me and said "We need a Baby I'm so upset" I said "why" and he said "Because every test we've taken for the past year has been negative"... I told him " would I be lying if I told you I was pregnant and we did get faint and bold lines?" Lol He said "Your lying" I ran in there grabbed some tests from 10dpo-15dpo and He was The happiest man on earth!!! 5 months later On October 3rd of 2022 We found out we are having exactly what we Wanted ... A Baby Boy ๐Ÿค and he's Due February 2023โœจ

Moms Trying to Conceive: Getting pregnant is not that easy, try not to blame yourselves becauseevery body is different. They don't teach us about our bodies. It's not just having sex everyday and BAM, you're pregnant. Women do conceive randomly but it's deceiving, they just got super lucky (or unlucky). You have to do research, learn your body and get the timing right. Read up on how women conceive. Women ovulate for only about 12 to 24 hours EACH MONTH. It's possible to get pregnant if you have sex the 2-3 days before you ovulate, the day you ovulate and about 12-24 hours after you ovulate. A possible window of only 4-6 days EACH MONTH. However, your chance of getting pregnant is dramatically increased if you have sex on the day of ovulation, or two days before, with your best chances of getting pregnant in the 12-24 hours of ovulation and 12 hours after. After about 12 hours after ovulation a woman is no longer able to get pregnant during that menstrual cycle because the egg is no longer in the fallopian tube. And since you need an egg, once one is released without fertilization, that's it. You're just having sex for fun until your next fertile window. That being said, some women in rare cases do ovulate twice a month but that's atypical. But having sex everyday actually isn't encouraged for fertility because sperm quality decreases with ejaculation (however paternal age plays a factor). Fertility specialists actually ask men not to ejaculate prior to the fertile period. So it's more about timing than the frequency. If you've tracked and tried for 6 months, going to a fertility specialist can help rule out any barriers. Source: I studied to be a midwife, and had fertility issues myself, so we used a fertility specialist for reciprocal IVF. You're not a failure....
