Event - You May Know Your Baby’s Gender

You may find out your baby’s gender
You may have the opportunity to learn your baby's gender through ultrasound or genetic testing, typically around the 18th to 22nd week of pregnancy, adding a new dimension of excitement and connection to your pregnancy experience.
Be prepared to know your baby’s gender
Top Asked Question
What is an anatomy ultrasound and when is it performed?

An anatomy ultrasound, often conducted between 18 to 22 weeks of pregnancy, is a detailed scan that examines the baby's development. It checks the baby's heart, brain, bones, spinal cord, face, kidneys, and abdomen, and can often reveal the baby's sex.

How should I prepare for the anatomy ultrasound?

Generally, no special preparation is needed, but some clinics may ask you to arrive with a full bladder to improve the visibility of the ultrasound images.

What can I expect during the scan?

The scan is typically performed abdominally and can take 30 to 60 minutes. You'll be able to see images of your baby on a monitor, and the sonographer will measure parts of your baby's body, checking for signs of development and the presence of any abnormalities.

Can the anatomy ultrasound detect all birth defects?

While the anatomy scan can detect many physical abnormalities, it cannot catch all birth defects. Its ability to detect issues depends on various factors, including the baby's position, the equipment's quality, and the technician's skill.

What happens if the ultrasound finds a problem?

If the scan suggests a potential issue, you might need further tests to confirm the diagnosis, such as a follow-up ultrasound, amniocentesis, or other specialized tests. Your healthcare provider will discuss the findings, possible implications, and next steps with you.

My baby father & I have a habit of not saying he/she😂 we call the baby by the gender that we want until we find out the gender 😂 so if I ever say She, I won't know the gender until May 😭

I feel like that is a great idea because I need a pronoun for this baby, but the father wants a boy, and I want a girl 😂

My baby's heart rate was 167 on the 21st of this month. Im hoping for a boy. The drs and the ones that do the ultrasounds say you cant go by the heart rate. I get my NIPT test done in about 2 weeks. Im currently 9 weeks. Congratulations ❤️

I'll know for sure on May 28th at my gender reveal but I'm honestly feeling this strong boy energy lately lol if she's a girl it may be the toughness she'll get from her momma but I keep feeling inclined to a baby boy in here. Have any of you felt a strong bond to your baby's gender leads you to strongly predict what they are??

I had an ultrasound done at 14 weeks with my 2nd to find out the gender early. I found a place out here who did it and it was accurate and easy to see. Then we still had our gender reveal ultrasound at 20 weeks with my OB

¡WARNING! If you don't want to know the gender of your baby, don't read this. There is a way to know the gender of your baby with an ultrasound between 12-14 weeks, what you see there is called "genital tubercle" when it is a girl you can see it forming an angle of almost 180 ° and when it is a boy it forms an angle of 90 °. It worked for me, I knew I was going to have a girl thanks to my ultrasound. My gender r party confirmed this information, so you know future mommy, good luck. #gender #baby'sgender #boyorgirl

Just FYI you can find out your baby’s gender thru the MATERNIT21 test that checks to see if your baby will have Down syndrome. You get this test done after 10 weeks. Just let your doctor know that you would like to know the gender as well. Just wanted to save some moms some money if you were considering paying for the early blood test 🤗

Yes the blood test to find out the gender isn’t covered by my insurance so me and my bf said we will be billed for it and just pay on it together. So instead of paying for the gender test we should just pay for the Down syndrome test?

I dont know anyone who’s ever had to pay for the Down syndrome test. I’ve always thought it was apart of routine care. You should ask your doctor. I dont want to give any false information
