Braxton hicks contractions

Braxton hicks contractions
These are mild, painless contractions of the uterus that occur during pregnancy, usually in the third trimester, to help prepare the uterus for labor.

Is it normal?
Braxton Hicks contractions during pregnancy are also a common experience for many women.

These contractions are the body's way of preparing for labor, but it's important to remember that this is a normal part of pregnancy for many women.
Prevent and care
These contractions are usually painless and occur intermittently, but they can be uncomfortable and confusing for some women.

Proper management of Braxton Hicks contractions is important to distinguish them from true labor contractions and to avoid unnecessary trips to the hospital.
  • Stay hydrated by drinking enough water throughout the day.
  • Take breaks and rest when needed, especially if you've been active.
  • Change positions; if you've been sitting, try walking, and vice versa.
If they persist or become painful, contact your healthcare provider.

When to consult?
If you are experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions during pregnancy, it is best to consult your healthcare provider for proper evaluation and treatment options.

So with my son, I didn't have Braxton Hicks nor contractions at all. I had to be induced cause he was like nah bro I'm staying. I think if it's your first baby by my experience it can be harder for them to want to come out on their own but it's not always the case either.
