The milestones of baby's development

Your little one is growing so fast and acquiring new skills every day. Here are some important milestones to know:

  • Your baby starts to laugh as early as two months after birth.
  • Your baby's first steps should happen anywhere between 12 and 24 months.
  • By age 2, a baby is learning to make up stories to go along with play.
  • During the first three years, babies develop their motor, language, relational, and cognitive skills.
  • Your child may develop slightly differently from these milestones, due to individual variability. Talk to your health care provider for any doubts or questions you might have about your baby's health and development.

I’m exhausted from the time I wake up till about 3pm. Then I get a burst of energy from 3pm to about 7pm. I tend to use that energy to take a walk/hike with my husband but want to amp up my workouts a little more. I’m scared to over do it bc I don’t want to hurt the development of the baby but at the same time want to stay healthy. Anyone else feel this way?

So I keep seeing two different sets of information on baby’s hearing in the womb, so I’m a bit confused can they hear at 17 weeks or not until 20 weeks? I’m 17 weeks and I’ve started playing classical music for my baby girl to help with brain development, but it’s pointless if she can actually hear now. On top of that, I have yet to feel her move so I don’t have her movement as an indicator, to know if she hears it or not. Additionally, should I be worried about ruining her hearing by playing music too early?

Update guys . I have preeclampsia. My protein was super high came back around 900 . They gave me a steroid shot to help with the baby lung development. She looked good on the ultrasound so they sent me home. I have to come back tomorrow and get my other steroid shot .

just letting ppl know what i learned yesterday in my infant health group , your babies brain is at its highest development the last few weeks of pregnancy, so getting induced just because u don’t feel like carrying a baby anymore isn’t a good enough reason it’s crazy how much getting induced and scheduling induction has become a thing for new mothers and doctors for convenience … but you’re increasing your babies chance of having behavioral or mental health issues stick it out until it becomes medically necessary… having a baby at 39-40 weeks is best unless your body says otherwise

Went to the hospital 3 days ago. Baby was measuring at 10 weeks 5 days bt I'm actually 13 weeks and 2 days today. Based off time of conception date which was in March. I got my due date and all. My concern is... is my baby too small? Can I do anything to make it grow bigger? Doctor says it's normal for babies to be a little behind or ahead of their gestational ages. I'm just wondering is this due to me barely eating? I can't stomach much of anything. Or due to my age? Cuz he told me I'm getting more sick and sick due to my age. Bc I was bleeding. (I DO HAVE PCOS) And that my body can't take much pains but I just turned 30 🤷🏽‍♀️. Idk if I should trust this doctor tbh bc I'm not old. Other than that baby was perfect development wise for 13 weeks, just a little smaller in size than its age #pregnancy #age #smallbaby #concerned

When you crave food, do you check to see where it's coming from? I noticed my cravings sometimes align with the development of the baby. This week it's been dairy and fruits high in vitamin C which makes sense since the baby's bones and immune system are picking up. Anyone else?

Next week, our little family is moving into our first house together (we’re young parents☺️). Tips for moving with a baby? Also, what toys/activities did your little ones like to do at 3-4 months? With having more room soon, I’d like to get my baby more toys and find new ways to have fun but help his development all the same. ❤️

LET’S PRAY 🙏🏽 Dear Lord, I pray for my baby’s brain development. I pray that my baby will develop a healthy, intelligent brain. I pray now that this baby will grow normally, just as it is supposed to, according to Your plan for pregnancy. I pray that the cells will multiply and grow and that the brain and spinal cord will develop properly. Give my baby a strong spinal cord and a strong, intelligent mind. And because Your Word says, “Whatever you ask in My name, I will do” (John 14:13), I am obeying Your Word by asking You to bless my baby’s growth and make my baby healthy and strong. I also ask that You will bless my baby with an excellent memory. Lord, help me teach my baby to memorize Scriptures, and help my baby to memorize them easily and quickly. I pray that Bible verses will come to his or her memory quickly in times of need. I thank You for Your promise of giving us peace, so I don’t have to worry about something being wrong with my baby. I declare the power of Your Word and Your Holy Spirit to come to pass. May my baby’s brain develop just as it should, and may my child be blessed with a high IQ, to be used for Your glory. And, Lord, I pray that my son or daughter will grow up to be a person of prayer – that he or she will have faith and tap into Your power through prayer. I pray in the name of the Father God, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Spirit. Amen. #prayers #7weeks #pregnancy #thankyouGod #Godisgood #babydust
