The milestones of baby's development

Your little one is growing so fast and acquiring new skills every day. Here are some important milestones to know:

  • Your baby starts to laugh as early as two months after birth.
  • Your baby's first steps should happen anywhere between 12 and 24 months.
  • By age 2, a baby is learning to make up stories to go along with play.
  • During the first three years, babies develop their motor, language, relational, and cognitive skills.
  • Your child may develop slightly differently from these milestones, due to individual variability. Talk to your health care provider for any doubts or questions you might have about your baby's health and development.

Psalm 139:13-14 reminds us that you have fearfully and wonderfully made each one of us. I thank you for the miracle of life and for the intricate design of this baby growing within my womb. I pray that you would continue to knit this baby together perfectly, ensuring his/her physical health and development. 💕🙏🏾

baby is SO protecting. twisting bending etc cannot hurt baby. surrounded by so much fluid and tissue and muscle. they are made to be in there safely and for us to live normal! do not ever worry. it may be uncomfortable for us- but baby is totally fine

Does your environment affect unborn baby’s brain development? If the mother is feeling mad, cranky, sad, depressed sometimes?

It doesn’t necessarily affect the brain. But baby does feel your mood swings & stress

So I asked Google if you can spoil a 1 month old and here's the response You can't spoil a baby. Contrary to popular myth, it's impossible for parents to hold or respond to a baby too much, child development experts say. Infants need constant attention to give them the foundation to grow emotionally, physically and intellectually.

I’m currently 8 weeks and 3 days pregnant with my first baby and I have a really bad vaping problem and I don’t want it affecting my baby’s brain development, any suggestions/advice to help quit? I went 2 days without hitting my vape but it’s starting to feel impossible and I don’t want to harm my baby, this is really stressing me out :(

What I did to make my husband stop is to have him give me all of his stuff and hide it and also gum and mints help relieve like withdrawal because even second hand smoke can affect your baby after birth as well and can contribute to SIDS

I take vitamin b-6, vitamin C, folic acid, omega 3, and vitamin D. I know most ppl take prenatal vitamins which are great. The most important vitamin to me is folic acid bc it helps the baby’s brain development and all around helps baby to grow good. Vitamins are the most important intake you can do everyday for a healthy, smart baby!!!

When you crave food, do you check to see where it's coming from? I noticed my cravings sometimes align with the development of the baby. This week it's been dairy and fruits high in vitamin C which makes sense since the baby's bones and immune system are picking up. Anyone else?
