So my pregnancy been super healthy an babygirl is doing amazing. The dr went ahead an put down to be induced on march 20th. At 39 weeks. But I want to avoid pitocin. Does all inductions include this. I was also told to avoid the induction since everything is healthy give her extra week to give her the chance or my body the chance to perform naturally rather then induction. Any reccomendendations

Most do since it’s like a synthetic hormone of the hormone our bodies naturally make (oxytocin) which causes contractions & ALOT of walking & I heard walking up & down stairs can help too

i walk 2 miles about 5 days a week sometimes 6 and i live on 2nd floor of condo so im up n down stairs a lot. I feel lot of pressure down in that area. I feel baby has dropped cause i can breathe finally. So im trusting my body an thinking soon baby may come. Idk how true it is but been told 1st baby always wants to go pass 40 weeks. Praying she wont.

I wonder how many moms would be breastfeeding and doing further research to learn how to breastfeed and avoid inductions and cesarean birth if they didn't qualify for WIC and had to pay out of pocket for that expensive formula.

sad truth... during my pregnancy so many doctors tried lying to me. Up to a week before I went in to labor the doctor was lying to me saying my water broke and I needed to deliver. They wanted to make me suffer through an induction, break my water and give me a cesarean so they can put my baby in the NICU. I left on an AMA and had a healthy baby without medical intervention a week later.

so true, between the money they get per birth the they medically intervene in and the liability they try to avoid. It's all problematic.

I just got some from Badger in the mail. Environmentally safe option and reef safe if you care about that kind of thing. That link also has a list of sunscreens that don't have the benzene in it. Badger is on that list. Sun Bum is too but I found that is not reef safe like it says on the bottle.
