I was hoping to breast feed till at least 1 year but my little one had decided he is done nursing during the day. He is almost 8 months. He will drink breast milk from a cup or bottle but just doesn't want to nurse.

I want to breast feed until at least a year but not sure what will happen or if I’ll even be able to breast feed. I am producing a tiny bit of colostrum right now but not much. It’s still early though so we never know.

It’s very hard and a lot of work but it’s worth it!! But if your struggling a lot with it, fed is best. your baby will be great either way

A year. It’s recommended to do it for a year. And if your baby naturally stops on their own before that, then continue to feed them breastmilk in a bottle or give them formula until they are a year old. My pediatrician said breast milk and formula are very good and important for them until they are a year old. At 9 months they do start drinking a lot less though so those last three months they won’t be drinking as much, but it is still very good for them.

My Goal was a year for all 4 of my kids my first was able to do a month only cause at my check up I got the depo shot and my milk cut the next day I still regret getting that shot. I made it to a year with my 2nd. Then with my 3rd up to 10 months my nipples were so sore so dry plus she was starting to bite me so definitely had to stop she went to organic red gallon milk. I’m currently breastfeeding my 2 month old I hope to make it till the year but we shall see.
