Fatigue after childbirth: what causes it?

You have this dreamy picture in your head of coming home all fresh and happy with the baby, and an uninvited guest shows up and threatens it all: fatigue.

  • Yes, we are not always prepared for it, but fatigue after childbirth can be strongly felt.
  • Where does it come from?
  • Between the accumulated stress put on your body during pregnancy, the physical efforts required by childbirth (it is like running a marathon, after all!), bleeding, and hormones… fatigue is likely to occur.
  • Don't panic, it's perfectly normal for your batteries to be flat during the first few weeks after the birth of your baby!

I’m 2 months postpartum and hoping I didn’t make the mistake of getting pregnant again. I have been nauseous, fatigue and have heightened sense of smell. Please tell I didn’t make a mistake.

We just did the deed but this time no protection. Looked at my calendar and it's my fertile window. 🫠 if I am it is okay. I will be done after this. It would be my 3rd. One about to be 14 yo and one is 4 months.

Spotting at 6 weeks postpartum. I stopped bleeding but today I started spitting. Is this my period or what is this? Tomorrow is 6 weeks postpartum and also my appt. Has anyone experienced spotting after your normal postpartum bleeding

I can understand 6 weeks postpartum,I didn't have a C-section though, be gentle with yourself, tell that husband of yours you should get time to heal and for better recovery.
