The ideal temperature for the baby's bath

How do you know if the water temperature is right for your baby? Here are some tips.

  • The right water temperature depends on two factors: your baby's age and preference.
  • Your newborn is particularly sensitive to heat variations, so water at 37 or 38 degrees, close to his body temperature, is recommended.
  • If you haven't already done so, you can install a thermostatic mixing valve in your bathtub or shower, so that you can preset it.
  • Get a bath thermometer, which will ensure the ideal temperature!

Mommies I need help 🤧. My son is 7 months old and this morning I took him to daycare like any other morning. But about an hour later he ended up coming down with a fever so I had to go pick him back up. I gave him a cool bath and some Tylenol and he drunk a little of his bottle but didn’t want to finish it. But he ate some fruit purée without an issue. 6 hours later, I took his temp and his rectal temperature was (102) so I gave him another dose of Tylenol and a cool bath. But now he won’t really eat at all. So what should I do?

Anybody else newborn screams like you are killing them during bath time ? My baby girl cries and screams so loud and her water temperature is fine I check it every time. Maybe I should go back to sponge baths for a while. I started putting her in water once her umbilical cord came off but I think it’s still too soon because her cries breaks my heart like she literally screams 🥺
