Tips for decorating your baby's room

When a baby is no longer in the safe arms of mom or dad, it is important to create a cozy nest where they can rest safely.

  • Choose a quiet room that is not facing the street, if possible.
  • Regardless of your baby's gender, dress up the walls in neutral tones that will create a peaceful and restful environment, preventing overstimulation.
  • You can enhance the walls with stickers, fabric letters or cute characters to create a playful and cozy universe.
  • On the floor, prefer wood to carpeting for a warm and hypoallergenic atmosphere, which you can enhance with a pretty carpet.
  • Brightness and sound are also part of the game! Opt for dim lights, like fairy lights, which will comfort your baby.

Baby's room is done! Also, I have bassinet set up in my room with a little area for all his things. Also, have his packNplay and baby cart downstairs! I'm just waiting for the breast pump!

Put the baby bed up next to a wall after clearing room..put your bed beside of the baby bed. Put dressers/other furniture on the other side of the room.

I say do it whenever you have time and energy.. you don’t want to wait till you’re almost due to paint because it takes awhile for that smell to go away. Hopefully you will have help with that

I would do the painting before it's too cold because you will need to have a window open for the fumes. I started at about 18 weeks to prep his room. But I too have to pain yet.
