My baby is 4 days old and she has only burped like 2 times that I’ve heard is that normal? I feel like I don’t know how to burp her like I’m supposed to and I worry cause she just goes straight to sleep and I know they supposed to every time they eat

I do sit up position and sometimes I massage her upper back a lil fast then I’ll go back in forth patting and massaging

Good night moms I just got done with one huge bag of baby stuff I washed I got all the 3 months folded up back in the tote got 0 to 3 folded and newborn put away in the drawers put the burp cloths towels rags together Put the swaddlers receiving blankets and other blankets together took a minute to sort all the 3 months 0 to 3 newborn clothes and the socks was the hardest matching them back up don't know what else needs to be done we will see tomorrow

How can I get baby girl to burp? She ebf and I feel like I try everything sitting her up, over my shoulder on her side but she won’t burp and then she’s so angry and uncomfortable when she’s gassy and I don’t know how to help!

Being a mom is just finished feeding your baby and put them on your chest to burp them and moments after removing burp cloth they spit up in your bra 😅🤣

I can't get my 3 month old to burp enough he only burps 1 and ends up throwing up I tried the techniques I did with his siblings but they don't seem to work with him ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO GET BABY TO BURP PLEASE

I was having the same issue but from my understanding it causes hiccups and sometimes spit ups. So I try to burp her everything. Sometimes I move her from shoulder to shoulder or I sit her up on my leg.

Yes I try too but most times she does fall asleep. So if I can't get a burp I let her lay on me for like 30 mins before putting her in her bassinet. Sometimes that helps the ln sometimes she'll wake up from spitting up or hiccups

So right now my baby is only 3 weeks & 4 days. Every time I finish feed him he gets sleepy & that makes it harder for me burp him. So me (a worried mom that wants my baby to burp b4 nap time) burps him until I hear a burp but it takes hours😭! Or sometimes he doesn’t even burp… could I be doing something wrong😟?

Once they fall asleep its very difficult for them to burp. If you cant get a burp after 10 mins of trying it's okay to lay your baby down. Long as if you kept them upright for at least 5 mins you're okay. My baby is the same way and I hold her on my chest and pat her back for 5 mins and if I don't get one by then I stop and just rub for another 5 mins.

Sometimes they just don't need to burp. I'd still try to burp every time but I wouldn't expect them to actually burp every time.

Not everytime they are going to burp but they will burp on their own. My baby does it all the time. Sometimes patting the butt helps

So hey there ladies, my daughter was born on March 12, 2022, she'll be 7 weeks old tomorrow... However we are having some trouble with getting her to burp, I def. Try to burp her halfway thru them bottle but that last of the milk is just so difficult to get a burp from her. Being that she's my first and only child, I really feel like idk... Like I'm failing as a mom cuz I can't simply burp her... Idk... Can anyone help me? Offer advice ... Or words of encouragement... Maybe some tricks on how to get my newborn to burp..? I was speaking with pediatric about the same. Her advice was to hold baby in arms vertically and walking 30 min after every feeding. It helps us!

Thank you, I swear that's what we were doing this morning maybe not 30 mins after feeding it was right after she was done, then while I'm burping her on my shoulder she somehow ends up getting hiccups! I'm telling you I could've cried, I can see she needs to burp but every trick I've heard just doesn't seem to want to work with her.... Or I'm doing it completely and utterly wrong! 🤔🙁 But thank you so much for your comment, it's def. Worth a try !!

My baby is 2 1/2 weeks old, only breast feeding him. It’s hard for me to burp him too, his dad holds him and he right away burps, when I’m alone I noticed if I move him around and then proceed to burp him it works. He does get hiccups too right away after he burps.
